Skid Car Driving:
When we undertake defensive driver or performance road training for fleet or private individuals, our company accepts that the vast majority of drivers on the road today do not react in the correct manner when suddenly involved in a "skid" or slide. Damp roads, wet leaves, ice - snow or mud around the bend all add up to putting the driver into a situation they are unprepared for and unable to react to.

At Tran-Sport, we have the ability to train the driver to recognise "understeer" (the biggest killer), oversteer and aquaplaning. We have available one of the only "wet grip - skid pan" areas in the UK. We work closely with the owners of the site to ensure road safety is promoted in the correct manner. We also have a "skid frame" that we use to simulate understeer/oversteer and both facilities are very safe, with large run off areas. Our chief instructors were trained with the frames at Skid Car UK and indeed were only the second private purchaser of such a device within the UK. Whether your car is front, rear or four wheel drive, it is so important to know how to react when the car suddenly lets go.
